Daf Trucks – Overview on the maker

The Dutch trucks manufacturer called Daf trucks is now a division of the PACCAR, whose main plant and headquarter is located in Eindhoven. The axle assemblies and Cabs are been produced in the plant division of Western plant situated in Belgium. Some of the trucks that are manufacturer by the Daf trucks are designed by the Leyland trucks in the other plant based in England. The President of the Daf, Aad Goudriaan founded the trucks company in the year 1926, and in the year 19996 it was owned by the Pacccar.

The first model in the passenger was assigned with number 600, featured with air-cooled engine, steel construction, fronted mount, centrifugal clutch and several other options. As the models was acknowledge well in the market the company took full hand in offering various trucks models such as Daf XF95 and  Daf 2800.

Daf in the year 1949 introduced their first truck, though the market for the model was a failure in the international basis, 2000 DO. As they started upgrading the models with wide range of features, in order to suit the present conditions in the market, there was he difference in the responses by the customers. The introduction of the trucks model 2600 became the big seller that got popular as the torpedo front tractor.

In the year 1970s, the Daf trucks introduced an new style cab with wide series of 1700, 1900, 2100, 2300, 2500, 2800, 3300 and 3600, bounded with various characteristic of windscreen. The company was the first who introduced the turbocharged diesel engine and thus in few years they became evident in the international markets.

Daf XF95 and Daf 2800 are two medium duty trucks models who have eventually grasp the attention of many trucks buyers. The construction wok, turbo diesel engines used in the trucks, power steering, better suspension, hauling & towing capacity, excellent fuel mileage and essential requirements are been offered by the two. This made the trucks to make a good appearance even in the International market.
